Tighten & Tone with Kelly on Tuesdays @ 5:30pm – FREE Tuesday, August 5th
Tighten and Tone is an energizing class focused on tightening and toning the entire body. Class will begin with a warm-up and slow stretches, then will move into exercises to get the heart rate up before isolating and toning individual muscles. The last half hour of the class will be fun and challenging movements across the floor that tighten all your bodies loose ends. Come tighten it up with Kelly!
Urban Beats with Jessica on Wednesdays @ 8:30pm – FREE Wednesday, August 6th
This class blends the fundamentals of tap dance with an urban flare! Hittin’ with a hip hop flow, students will be ‘hoofin’ and rhythmic tapping. Savion Glover, Bakari Wilder, Vincent Bingham, Jonathan & Sean Scott, and the next generation of hoofers have mastered the ability to transform their feet into superior percussion instruments while growing up in a hip hop world. Want to have multiple and flawless turns, dynamic jumps and amazing strength in your extensions? This class concentrates on leaps, turns and extensions while integrating a fusion of ballet, modern and jazz with an emphasis on performance. Perfect for the student who wants to excel to the next level!! While Incorporating cutting edge combinations into this class, ‘Mr. Personality’ will bring out the fierce dancer in you!

This class is a fresh new take on hip hop with a modern/contemporary twist. Contemporary Hip Hop is an interesting fusion of hip-hop which fuses hip hop movement with a mixture of modern technique creating a unique and innovative style of dance.

This contemporary-based class offers an insightful and inspirational approach to movement incorporating a variety of techniques including jazz, lyrical, and modern. The aim of Cherrise’s class and, consequently, the basis of her teachings, is to understand the art of movement as a real-life experience rather than something to be acted out. In other words, this class will challenge you to personally engage in a relationship between body, music, and soul. Beginning with a thorough warm-up which focuses on strengthening and conditioning the core, students will then learn a combination to the likes of Zoe Keating, Ani DiFranco, Vitamin String Quartet, Amos Lee, Ray Lamontagne, Liz Durrett, Bjork, and others.
