Shalay Johnson

Shalay Monique Johnson: is a graduate of the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia, where she received her BFA degree in Dance. She recently completed her fourth season and third year as a principle with Eleone Dance Theater, Philadelphia, PA. Shalay has performed choreography by such masters as Louis Johnson ("Forces of Rhythm" in the role of "Shout"), Diane McIntyre (Choreographer for motion picture "Beloved"). She has also performed work by choreographers Tommie Waheed-Evans of Philadanco, Gary Jeter and Jae Man Joo of Complexions, Christopher Huggins and many others.

As a choreographer/instructor, Shalay has taught ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and Hip Hop at various schools and studios in the Atlanta and Philadelphia area. She has received numerous awards for her choreography and as an instructor is known for delivering challenging, exciting class work with rewarding results.
